Six automation modules become one

Midi-QOLDAEChris's Premades Coven's Automation ToolkitAura EffectsAutomated Conditions

DAS · Core

One module owns the whole combat loop: attacks, saves, reactions, zones, auras, conditions. No load order to get right, no compatibility chart between six authors, no premade to import per spell.

What's automated

Rules written for D&D 2024

Any spell or feature is played from dnd5e's own data: attack, save, damage, effects. On top of that, Core ships rules of its own for what the data can't do alone.

164spells
115class features
46feats
14species traits
57monster abilities
21items

DAS is in beta. Not every spell and feature is covered yet: some still need a click or a roll by hand. If one doesn't behave as it should, tell us on Discord.

Counted from Core's source code. Plus what is built into the engine for every creature: Weapon Mastery, opportunity attacks, cover, grappling, Wild Shape, Metamagic…

The modules

Only Core is required. Add the rest one by one.

Every clip below is a real, uncut moment in Foundry. Click one to watch it full size. The full shorts, with sound, are on YouTube.

Required

DAS · Core

The rules and combat engine. It owns the whole combat loop, so nothing fights over your clicks.

  • Click the ground to move along a path, click an enemy to attack
  • Opportunity attacks resolved before the move
  • Reactions and saving throws on each player's own screen
  • Lingering zones, concentration, conditions, auras
  • Vision and light rules: who sees whom, Search, passive Perception

Needs Foundry V14 and dnd5e 6.0 or later. Patches neither Foundry nor the system.

DAS · Combat UI

The screen you play from: an action bar along the bottom, party portraits on the side, the turn order across the top.

  • Actions grouped by tab, layout saved per character
  • Pick a spell's level from a drawer
  • Greyed-out actions tell you why
  • Movement budget, Dash and the path shown before you commit

DAS · Loot & Trade

What happens after the fight: corpses to search, chests to pick, merchants to haggle with.

  • Treasure rolled on the first search, by challenge rating
  • Locked containers: key, thieves' tools or the GM
  • Pickpocketing, items thrown on the ground, raising the dead
  • Barter window with restocking merchants

DAS · Shadows & Ambience

Tokens that sit in the scene. Purely visual: it never writes anything to your world.

  • Contact shadows, and shadows cast by lights and the sun
  • Flying creatures bob; higher tokens look larger
  • Blur beyond darkvision range

DAS · Animations

Boss Loot animations for the abilities Boss Loot does not recognise on its own, such as high-level spells. Your own custom animations are kept.

Boss Loot is a paid third-party module, not included.
